Scott Jones:
Drawings from my Youth 1982-83

I started drawing way back when I was 13...by the time I was 16, I had a typical adolecent burst of interest in Sci-Fi.

I actually pondered becoming a Creature/Set Designer or Storyboard Artist and pursing that, hoping to work with Lucas or Spielberg someday...

Music took over, but not before I sketched some pretty scary images.

Some are obviously my drawings of popular Sci-Fi images from the era.

The original images are partly due to my "troubled" teenage mind, partly due to my love for those same Sci-Fi and Horror movies popular at the time.

Anyway, enjoy them for what they are (standard Sci-Fi and fantasy imagery) and don't look too deeply into what they represent.

The portrait of composer Bela Bartok (one of my favorite composers) is from 1986, indicating that I can draw normal images, when inspired to do so. (I was studying his music at the time).
