Guitar Player magazine has launched it's own version of American Idol, called Guitar Hero and last year they asked for submissions from all over the world. I received a phone call on April 28th 2005, from the Managing Editor and Chief, saying that they were blown away by my track and I've made the FINAL 10! They will be flying me to Cleveland the weekend of June 10-12 to perform one song of my choice, with a live band at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in front of judges Steve Lukather (Toto), Joe Satriani and others. It will be webcast all over the planet. And each of the 10 finalists will receive major press coverage in an upcoming issue of Guitar Player Magazine. From the GP site: “GP’s Guitar Hero 2005 is part of the CMJ/RockFest, which is being held all over Cleveland during the weekend of June 10-12. The winner of GP’s Guitar Hero will receive a mammoth gear package, as well as get one of their songs included on CMJ’s New Music Monthly CD that reaches tens of thousands of music business executives and tastemakers across North America. Ultimately, whether I win or not, it will be an
